Meet the authors of ImagerySpeaks!

Peg Shippert

Peg Shippert is a Technical Support Engineer and Remote Sensing Specialist, with over 20 year of experience analyzing a variety of remotely sensed data, from optical to LiDAR.  Peg graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a  PhD in Geography and has been working at Exelis Visual Information Solutions for 14 years.

Kate Heightley

Kate has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She’s spent most of her career working at commercial software companies, either in product groups developing commercial software or in professional services groups creating custom software solutions. She’s managed people, projects and programs, and she’s currently trying her hand managing products developed for enterprise deployments. Writing this blog is helping to satisfy a long-term fantasy she’s had about becoming a professional writer.

Cherie Darnel

Cherie Darnel is a Senior Technical Solutions Engineer, she has worked at VIS for eight and a half years in a variety of departments including Product Marketing and Technical Support.  Cherie holds a B.A. in Biology from Middlebury College and a M.S. Biology from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

Rebecca Lasica

Rebecca recently re-joined VIS as a Technical Sales Application Engineer. She has spent her career helping customers solve problems using software in roles ranging from pre and post-sales support, to technical writing and training. Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of Minnesota School of Science and Engineering.
